Chairman

A distinguished expert in environmental management, energy, and climate change, he previously served as Principal Environmental Management Officer at the National Environment Management Council (NEMC) in Tanzania, where he contributed to national environmental governance, energy-related environmental management, and climate change initiatives. He holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Central de Las Villas, Cuba, completed between 1980 and 1982. Over the course of his career, he has authored and contributed to a number of important institutional works, including research and guidelines such as The Role of Women in the Convention to Combat Desertification, published in 1998. His professional affiliations include the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), the Rural Energy Agency (REA), and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED). He currently serves as Chairperson of TaTEDO Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO), providing strategic leadership in sustainable energy access, environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and inclusive development.

Secretary

A highly accomplished sustainable energy engineer and development leader, he serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TaTEDO Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO) and Executive Chairperson of SESCOM. With more than 30 years of professional experience, he has been at the forefront of advancing sustainable energy services, renewable energy innovation, climate action, and sustainable development in Tanzania. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Civil-Energy Engineering from the United States and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering from India. Over the course of his career, he has worked extensively with government institutions, the private sector, the Institute of Resource Assessment (IRA) at the university level, consultancy firms, and civil society organizations specializing in renewable energy and environmental sustainability. His expertise spans sustainable energy systems, climate change, environmental management, policy development, and the strategic partnerships that drive inclusive, resilient development. He also serves as Secretary of TaTEDO Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO), contributing to the organization's governance and strategic direction in promoting clean energy access, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.

Treasurer

An experienced finance and public administration professional, he previously served as a Financial Attaché at Tanzanian High Commission offices in several countries under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In that role, he managed the financial operations of diplomatic missions, oversaw internal budgets and financial transactions, and helped safeguard Tanzania's broader economic interests abroad. He holds a Diploma in Higher Grade Accountancy from the Jersey Institute, United Kingdom, completed between 1976 and 1977. Over the course of his career, he has built deep expertise in public financial management, budgeting, financial administration, and international financial operations, contributing to the effective management of government resources across diplomatic missions. He currently serves as Treasurer of TaTEDO Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO), where he provides oversight of the organization's financial management, accountability, and governance, supporting its mission to advance sustainable energy, climate resilience, and inclusive development.

Board Member

A distinguished energy sector leader with decades of experience in power infrastructure development, he previously served as Deputy Managing Director (Investment) at the Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO), where he helped plan and oversee the strategic investments that underpinned the expansion and modernization of Tanzania's electricity network. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Energy Engineering from George Washington University, USA (1980–1984); a Diploma in Hydropower Development from the University of Trondheim, Norway (1978–1979); and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Hydrology from the University of Dar es Salaam (1974–1977). His work has centred on energy infrastructure development, with particular research interests in shale oil and gas, off-grid systems, and mini-grid technologies for rural electrification. These contributions have widened access, strengthened power systems, and supported sustainable economic development across Tanzania and the wider East African region. Regarded as one of East Africa's pioneering energy professionals, he has helped shape the sector through visionary leadership, technical depth, and disciplined investment planning. He currently serves on the Board of TaTEDO – Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO), where he provides strategic guidance on sustainable energy development, renewable initiatives, and the drive to expand access to clean, reliable, and affordable power.

Board Member

A seasoned mechanical engineer and renewable energy expert, he previously served as Director General of the Centre for Agricultural Mechanization and Rural Technology (CAMARTEC), where he led its work in agricultural mechanization, innovation, and rural technology development. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Solar Energy Engineering, from Dalarna University in Sweden, along with a Bachelor of Science (BSc Honours) in Mechanical Engineering. His career spans agricultural engineering, research, and technology development, with a steady focus on renewable energy, sustainable rural technologies, and improving livelihoods through innovation. That work has helped drive the adoption of clean energy and appropriate mechanization across rural communities, strengthening both agricultural productivity and rural development. He currently serves as a Member of the Board of TaTEDO Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO), where he contributes to the organization's strategic direction in promoting sustainable energy access, climate resilience, and inclusive development.

Board Member

Is an accomplished scientist, researcher, and museum professional with extensive experience in biodiversity conservation, natural history, and scientific research. She previously served as Director and Senior Scientist at the National Natural History Museum in Arusha, Tanzania, where she led its work in research, conservation, and the preservation of the country's natural heritage. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Dar es Salaam. As Senior Curator of Invertebrate Zoology, Dr. Ngereza has made significant contributions to biodiversity research and is recognized as the only woman in Africa specializing in the study of land snails, a pioneering role in invertebrate zoology. Over the course of her career, she has advanced scientific knowledge through research, curation, and conservation, while mentoring future scientists and promoting the sustainable management of natural resources. She currently serves as a Member of the Board of TaTEDO Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO), where she contributes her expertise in environmental conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable development to support the organization's strategic objectives.

Board Member

A highly experienced natural resources management specialist, she brings over 20 years of professional experience in natural resource governance, sustainable energy, climate change, forestry, participatory research, results-based management, communication, advocacy, and community development. Across her career, she has been committed to advancing sustainable development through evidence-based policy engagement and inclusive natural resource management. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Natural Resource Assessment and Management at the Open University and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Dar es Salaam. Her expertise spans policy advocacy, institutional capacity strengthening, gender equality and social inclusion, and the application of human rights-based approaches to natural resource governance. She has played a significant role in supporting forest conservation, facilitating national policy dialogue and multi-stakeholder engagement, and contributing to the development of policies and strategies on clean energy, biomass energy, forestry, and climate change. She has worked closely with government institutions, development partners, researchers, civil society organizations, and the media to promote sustainable natural resource management across Tanzania. She currently serves as a Member of the Board of TaTEDO Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO), where she contributes to the organization's strategic direction in promoting sustainable energy, environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and inclusive development.

Board Member

An accomplished environmental and climate change specialist, she brings extensive expertise in environmental management, natural resources management, gender, and climate change response. With over 15 years of professional experience, she has worked on climate change adaptation and mitigation, resilient livelihoods, vulnerability and impact assessments, community-based adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and the analysis of policy strategies aimed at reducing climate-related risks and building resilience. She holds a Master's Degree in Natural Resources Assessment and Management from the Institute of Resource Assessment (IRA), University of Dar es Salaam (2010), and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Across her career, she has played a key role in designing and implementing climate resilience initiatives, strengthening community capacity, and promoting sustainable development through participatory approaches. She has deep experience in community training and facilitation, particularly on the interlinkages between climate change mitigation and adaptation, natural resource management, and sustainable development, helping communities and institutions build resilience to environmental and climate challenges. She currently serves as a Member of the Board of TaTEDO Sustainable Energy Services Organization (TaTEDO-SESO), where she contributes her expertise in environmental sustainability, climate resilience, natural resource management, and sustainable energy development to support the organization's strategic mission.
